Armadillos Creeping into Kansas City

In the past month, there have been sightings of nine-banded armadillos in Missouri and a handful of sightings in Kansas City.

Armadillos are not aggressive animals, but they can do a lot of damage to a yard by digging. They use their claws and snouts to dig deep into the ground, and can wreak havoc on your yard and landscaping.

These critters are migrating north from the south, and while not many have been seen in Kansas City, there have been a handful. Wildlife specialists predict that they will continue to migrate north and that they will become more common in Kansas City.

If you spot an armadillo, call Critter Control of Kansas City at 1-800-CRITTER for efficient and humane removal.
